Sami Freeman's Space Bath: An Auditory Journey

Sami Freeman, a composer based in San Francisco, released Space Bath on Friday, February 16th. This immersive 22-minute experience defies genre, providing a constantly shifting sonic landscape designed to invoke memories and stimulate the imagination.

Described as "feeling like light but actually being sound," Space Bath is an introspective piece that skillfully intertwines emotional vignettes through a cinematic soundscape. The composition is layered with deep bass, synth, and organic instrumentation, resulting from Freeman's explorations on grand pianos and foreign synths that yielded otherworldly sounds.

During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Freeman collaborated with producer James Jackson, utilizing their home studios to capture the fear and beauty of the world in real time. This emotional processing is evident in the rich textural tones and varied yet satisfying sound palettes that characterize Space Bath.

Space Bath is available for purchase now through Bandcamp.
